An Explanation of this Blog… Before Entry #22

writing a blog

Before you guys read…  If you are just finding this blog… It is probably best to read my ABOUT page so you understand what this is all about…

A synopsis would be… that all of this actually happened and is all true. It is a peek into a young girl’s diary which began as an assignment in her High School English class but became a bittersweet keepsake for her decades later. A journal filled with an adolescent account of the journey of an innocent girl caught up in falling in love with a good guy, caught up in his own demons from his past, leading into a world of abuse and love and loss and second chances.

If you are really interested, it will make more sense if you go back to entry #1 and work your way up to catch up and follow.  The writer is Keri and the other names were changed also to protect the innocent or perhaps not so innocent.

In my book, I am going to place all of these journal entries right after this chapter… (BELOW*)  and then I will end the book in the same third person format… please let me know what you think about this….

If you actually are following me and are reading this in order… I kneel before you in and bow in appreciation! Thank you for your support!!!!

  1. Hi Keri — I went back yesterday when I was at home and read from the beginning — I couldn’t stop reading.

What courage and strength to write this — and what an amazing look into what can happen….

  2. I am so drawn into this. My kids are grown, and my nest is empty. The mother that I am is wanting to swoop in and intervene…wanted to do that way back when I first started reading these posts.

The young girl still inside me was touched by the wonder of experiencing love for the first time…was so shocked when he lost his temper on the sail boat.

    • Theresa,
You could be giving me no better gift than knowing that you are reading this! And you inspire me to keep going. I have been kind of stuck even though I promised myself to finish soon. If i had more inspiration like you, I’d have already finished this project!
My goal is to do exactly what you kind of said…to hopefully inspire the young girls caught up in a controlling relationship to see themselves in these stories and know that it is not always as simple or obvious that they are losing pieces of themselves. And we don’t always want to paint our true loves as monsters because they really aren’t but we are entitled to happiness inspite of their demons which ultimately usually means leaving.
      Stay tuned!
      di 😉
I also have an empty nest and before my daughter left I made her promise that she would never allow someone with a temper too close!! 😉
